- How is an airplane hull treated to reduce drag?
It is painted over.
The contribution of paint roughness to air resistance is only 0.3%. However, after painting, the aircraft is still coated with a layer of varnish 30-50 microns thick. The varnish prevents dirt and insects from sticking to the hull, which affects the resistance.
A painting technique is already being tested that leaves thin grooves in the paint. They attenuate transverse turbulent air movement, which saves about 1% fuel.
And researchers are working on active "shark scale" type coatings capable of adjusting to the geometry of turbulent vortices thousands of times per second. This can reduce air friction by 30%.

They are visible if sunlight is not interfering. When objects illuminated by the Sun are in the observer's or camera's field of view, the eye or camera adapts to these bright sources and the other luminaries become invisible.
But when the space station flies from the night side of the Earth, the stars are clearly visible to the naked eye.

Due to friction.
Hair electrification is caused by hair rubbing against each other or against other objects, including plastic combs, hats and clothes and clothing made of synthetic fabrics.
This effect can be exacerbated in dry air and by excessive dryness of the hair itself.

- Reindeer eyes turn blue in the winter.
Reindeers have beautiful baby blues—but only in the winter! According to the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council, "the eyes of Arctic reindeer change color through the seasons from gold to blue, adapting to extreme changes of light levels in their environment." The change in color impacts how light is reflected through the animals' retina, and improves their vision.

You might think of pigeons as… not that smart. But it turns out, they're actually quite intelligent. In fact, one 2011 study published in the journal Science found that the birds are capable of doing math at the same level as monkeys. During the study, the pigeons were asked to compare nine images, each containing a different number of objects. The researchers found that the birds were able to rank the images in order of how many objects they contained. Put simply, they learned that the birds could count!

Whereas people and other animals can simply move their eyes to follow an object or use peripheral vision to scan a room, owls must turn their heads for the same effect. These birds have fixed eye sockets, which means their eyeballs can't rotate, forcing them to stretch their necks—a seemingly supernatural feat. #Animal_facts #yuvrajmishraowls cant move their eyeballs , they can only rotate their head to see around Whereas people and other animals can simply move their eyes to follow an object or use peripheral vision to scan a room, owls must turn their heads for the same effect.
